GATE
Gate is 12 km from the Poblacion, along the national highway. One of the oldest barrios of Bulan. It is older than the municipal of Bulan. San Jose as its Patron Saint. 1746, the church was burned. A Cabeza de Barangay, a certain D. crisanto, was one of those killed in battle againts the moros.
A bell dated 1870 is displayed in front of the Gate chapel. There is also an existing ancient street in Gate called CAMINO REAL.
IMMMACULATE CONCEPTION
1866 the church built. The two parish in Bulan: Patron Saint Buenaventura in Butag (1954) And Patron Saint Antonio de Padua in San Francisco.
BUTAG
In 1954, Butag was organized as an independent parish with St. Bonaventure as its patron saint. The parish includes the barrios of San Ramon, San Isidro, Gate, Taromata, Sta. Teresita, J. Gerona, Marinab, Quezon, Aguinaldo, Osmena, Sagrada and Bonga. The first parish priest was Reverend Father Leonicio Guevarra.
